Severs Corn Maze and Fall Festival

About Us:

Hi! My name is Sever Peterson. My wife Sharon and I first heard about mazes from one of our agricultural exchange students who came from England in 1971. In Europe, mazes are very popular in castle gardens. After hearing about the mazes in Europe, we thought it would be a great idea to build one of our own right here in Shakopee.

Since 1997, thousands of people have enjoyed our Corn Mazes. We hope that your family gets as much enjoyment out of this year's Corn Maze as we did building it! Our family would like to invite your family to come out and visit us at this year's Corn Maze and Fall Festival.

We go every year! The petting zoo is out of this world! There are animals we have never seen at other petting zoo. There was a baby buffalo last year! The kids love pumpkin shooting and the corn play pits. We look forward to seeing the newly made maze design each year. Beware! If it's rained recently there is a lot of mud! Come prepared! Plenty of fun food options from vendors and always classics like caramel apples and kettle corn. They have plenty of pumpkins to choose from to bring home too.

So many fun attractions! Great for kids...corn maze, trampoline pillows, giant slide, face painting, temporary tattoos, bird house where you can feed free flying parakeets, petting zoo, magic show, and lots of great food!

The best fall family experience, exotic animal petting zoo was up close and personal. The bird tent was a very exhilarating unique experience. And the corn pit is fun for all ages.

It's amazing. Costs $14 to get in per anyone over 2yo. Lots of things are included, but some things are not. It's all listed on their website. You can get out and come back the same day with a stamp so if you don't want to buy food there, bring a cooler and go out to your car. Loads of children have their own sippy cups and snacks and no one says anything, I think the no outside food rule is so no one will feed the animals human food. It could get expensive if you've got a big family, but it's no more expensive than the state fair and no one complains about that...

A fun time was had by all! If you have never shot mini-pumpkins from an air cannon, you should add the to your to-do list. :)
