Theater for people who like a good story (and hanging with friends new and old). We like stories that make us laugh, bring us to tears, frighten us, inspire us, and help us remember how amazing the human spirit really is. You know, the kinds of stories you want to see and hear and share with friends because they leave you with hope and wonder. It's our artistic philosophy in a nutshell.
Outdoor theater in good weather and bad(ish)
Minnesota weather can be fickle (we are trying to be polite). However, our casual outdoor atmosphere is what makes our summer theater a memorable experience. We will cancel shows in cases of lightning or more severe weather. (We assume every performance will happen and do not pre-cancel shows remember the fickle part!)
Fair work for fair pay
Public Theater of Minnesota hires professional actors and pays them fairly.
