Come to Pete's Retreat to start making memories with your family and see why we were voted in the Top 100 Campgrounds in North America!

We're the Petersen family - Dennis, Joan and four kids ages 9 to 23.  You can call us all "Pete".  In 2005 we converted our 40 beautiful acres in Malmo, Minnesota into a family oriented, full service RV park, complete with 20/30/50 amp electrical service, internet, and cable TV.  Every one of the sites has "full hookups", which for you less experienced campers, means water, sewer, and electricity.

We work hard to make sure there's plenty for the kids and families to do! We hope you'll come and stay with us so you can see just how much fun "up north" can be!

We were seasonal guests here for 4 season and Joanne and dennDe and their family are awesome, the grounds, lodge and facilities are top notch. I highly recommend this place .

Nice place. Misunderstanding about our arrival time (driving up from TC after work and got there late evening). No one was around - wandered around in the dark and rain. Finally got help from a fellow camper. Really needs an after-hours phone number. Was promised something would "be worked out" but nothing was. Camper was nice - fairly new - also somewhat non-functional (TV, WiFi).

We spent a long weekend camping here. We have a fifth wheel and really enjoyed this campground. The campground is very clean and everyone was very helpful and friendly. Most of the spots are seasonal ones but there are a few that you can reserve on a nightly basis. The campground has a nice pool, hot tub, and splash pad. Additionally they sell firewood, have a camp store, a pool table, and a very small arcade area. For outside activities they do a hayride on Saturday nights, have a BMX course, a dog run area, volleyball, two playgrounds, and a couple horse shoe areas. Most of the nightly sites are pull through with full hook up and 50 amp electric. It was fairly quiet while we stayed here. There is also a small strip mall with a convenience store, cafe, and coffee parlor within walking distance of the campground. I think my only complaint is that if you aren't into fishing there's not a lot to do in the area. If you are big into fishing I would definitely recommend this resort.

We travel and camp full time, four wheels and two, all over the world. This campground has it all! The grounds and well kept, the sites are large and the place is just immaculate. The hot tub is even hot! My only complaint would be to keep the pool/hot tub open later. Five pm during the week just doesn't cut it.
