The visitor center houses an expansive exhibit gallery with a 24-foot birch canoe, a 30-foot tall stone fireplace and a gift shop. The Snake River heritage trails are open year round for hiking, snowshoeing and skiing.

Fantastic experience, stepping back in time. Our guide was awesome! Held the attention of 3 boys 13, 7 and 5. Lots of hands on exploring and the gift shop had something for all to bring home to remind us of the fort.We are planning to go back for the fall gathering.👍👍

This is one of my favorite sites. The visitors center is very good. It's both comprehensive and informative.
The stockade itself is a great and masterful recreation. This site is a jewel in the crown of MN historical society. It is worth a trip to see on it's own.

A great and informative trip through the daily life of a fur trader. Along with interesting artifacts. There are both guided tours and self-guided tours.

Take a walk through the history of the Voyageurs. This was a very well done tour and the volunteers were very knowledgeable. They had games for the kids and really inspired me to build a Cokinole board! Highly recommend even as a winter trip.
