The Mille Lacs Lake Area, located in central Minnesota, is a vibrant region with a diverse economic base, quality educational systems, and unparalleled natural beauty and recreational opportunities.

Mille Lacs Lake itself is a 132,516 acre world-class fishery and is just two hours north of the Twin Cities. In addition to Mille Lacs, there are many surrounding lakes including Turtle Lake to enjoy. The surrounding cities of Isle, Wahkon, Onamia and Garrison provide governmental, health care, and retail services. The region is home to year-round residents as well as seasonal residents and visitors. Health care, manufacturing and hospitality lead the list of our industry sectors.

When in the Mille Lacs Lake Area, stop in and learn more about us at one of our two Welcome Centers.  The Mille Lacs Area Tourism office is located on Highway 27 (630 West Main Street) in Isle and is open year round. The Carrison Commercial Club information center is near the Concourse on Highway 169 in Garrison and is open summer months – Thursday through Monday only.
