About Us
Recognized as one of the most popular theaters in the country, the Old Log has entertained over six million patrons since opening its doors.

The Old Log originally opened as a summer stock company in 1940 in a log stable. In 1960, a new theater was built, and the operation became year-round.

Offering the best in contemporary comedies from Broadway and London's West End, the Old Log Theater's resident company of Equity actors includes some of the finest comic talent in the Midwest.

Minutes away from the Twin Cities metro area and set on 10 beautiful acres near the shores of historic Lake Minnetonka, the Old Log Theater combines rustic charm, a serene setting and spacious accommodations, including a 655 seat auditorium and a 400 seat restaurant for before-show dining. The large lobby fireplace and veranda are perfect settings for cocktail parties and receptions.

The lovely grounds with their authentic log buildings are bordered by tall pines, perennial gardens and natural wetlands.

Whether entertaining employees, clients, family or friends, the Old Log Theater is a wonderful way to hold a social get-together, meeting or fund-raising activity.
