State Street Theater is pleased to present Much Ado About Nothing, a comedy play by William Shakespeare about misunderstandings, love and deception. In this unique adaptation set in the late 1940s, young lovers Hero and Claudio fall in love while the noble Don Pedro schemes to trick Hero’s quick-witted cousin Beatrice to fall in love with her nemesis, the avowed bachelor, Benedick. Set to a score of live big band swing music, mistaken identities and comical trickery ensues, leaving the characters to determine who is being true, and who is taking part in deceit!
