Retired four-star U.S. Army Gen. Joseph Votel to Deliver Memorial Day address
Join us to honor service men and women at the annual Memorial Day Ceremony Monday, May 29, at 11 a.m. The ceremony takes place at the Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial, located on the City Hall campus at 8301 Valley Creek Road.
Mayor Anne Burt will present the welcoming remarks. Retired four-star U.S. Army Gen. Joseph Votel, a St. Paul native who oversaw the U.S. war on terrorism in the Middle East, will give the Memorial Day address. Bagpipe player Lynn Ista will join color guards from the Woodbury High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, the Patriotic Heritage Allegiant Honor Guard, Woodbury Boy Scout Troop 559 and veterans of former South Vietnam in leading the Woodbury American Legion/VFW Rifle Squad to the Veterans Memorial.
