More than 25,000 Professionals, Amateurs and Guests Gather to Watch Main Street Maple Grove Transform Into a Canvas Filled With Chalk Creations

WHAT:            8th Annual Chalkfest Maple Grove AND Mural Tour

Selfie poses with 3D art, chalk-stained fingers and downward looking spectators gathering in downtown Maple Grove are common sights during the annual Chalkfest Maple Grove, which draws more than 25,000 spectators annually. Taking place June 10^th and 11^th, Chalkfest Maple Grove is a free, 2-day street art festival with entertainment, food, and family fun! Chalkfest features sidewalk chalk art by professionals, amateurs & art enthusiasts from across the world! PLUS back by popular demand is the Chalkfest at Arbor Lakes Mural Tour. Sixteen sites were chosen in and around Arbor Lakes to place 8’ x 8’ murals painted by Chalkfest artists. To keep this event fresh and new, we need sponsors to help pay the artists and materials fees. You will be able view the murals at your leisure anytime from May 15^th to July 17^th.

Chalkfest will feature sidewalk chalk art by more than 40 professionals, amateurs and art enthusiasts from around the world and as far away as Mexico, Ukraine and Colombia. Main Street Maple Grove is transformed into a street art gallery open for public viewing. Don’t forget to snap a photo in one of the 3D art pieces! Talk about AMAZING selfies! There are also public chalking areas for spectators, so bring your creativity along!

This year, instead of a People’s Choice Award, where the public purchased marbles to vote for their

favorite artist, there will be tip jars at each artist square for you to show appreciation for their

work and the money goes directly to the artist.
